The people who make America’s Overwatch possible. Twenty-five citizens committed to building something this country has never had: an open platform where Americans with real-world expertise publish original analysis, reporting, and commentary — all held to an editorial standard built on aviation safety principles.
America’s Overwatch is not built on journalism degrees and press credentials. It’s built on the principle that the people closest to a subject are the best equipped to write about it.
The nurse who spots healthcare misinformation because she lives it every shift. The small business owner who calls out regulatory claims because he files the paperwork. The veteran who fact-checks defense reporting because he’s been downrange. The teacher, the farmer, the engineer, the accountant — people whose credibility comes from doing the work, not from studying the work.
These contributors bring their real-world expertise to a platform with an editorial process held to the same standard that keeps airplanes in the sky. Original analysis. Investigative reporting. Commentary grounded in evidence. Fact-checking when claims need challenging. Every piece of content — regardless of who writes it or what form it takes — goes through the same editorial process. No exceptions. No shortcuts. No lowered bar for anyone.
Aspiring journalists learn here too, working shoulder-to-shoulder with subject-matter experts under a framework built on aviation safety principles. But they’re part of the team — not the mission itself. The mission is giving American citizens the information they need to make informed decisions — written by people who actually know what they’re talking about.
Every piece of content on America’s Overwatch — whether written by a 30-year professional or a first-semester intern — must meet all five. No exceptions. These are from our Editorial Charter, and Founders Circle members receive a complete copy.
No single-source stories. Every factual claim verified through independent channels.
Original documents, data, and records. Not someone else’s interpretation of them.
No cherry-picking. Present the complete picture, including evidence that complicates our analysis.
Every piece reviewed by editors before publication. Like a checkride — you don’t self-certify.
Show our work. Sources, methodology, reasoning, and corrections — all visible to the reader.
America’s Overwatch was founded by an ATP-rated pilot with over 12,000 flight hours and 26 years of experience as a captain, check airman, and standardization pilot. In aviation, accuracy is not aspirational — it’s a survival requirement. Imprecise language kills people. Bad data kills people. Skipping checklists kills people.
The same principles that keep airplanes safely in the sky now govern how we verify information: crew resource management adapted for editorial teams, error chain analysis applied to misinformation, the sterile cockpit rule enforced during fact-checking, and a corrections culture modeled on NASA’s Aviation Safety Reporting System.
We apply the same non-negotiable approach to information verification that aviation uses for flight safety. Because in both fields, the people depending on you deserve nothing less.
Each position represents a $100,000 annual commitment to building independent, member-funded verification infrastructure for American citizens.

Founders Circle contributions directly fund the infrastructure that makes verified, independent information possible — free from advertiser pressure, political influence, and institutional bias.
Editorial systems, OSINT tools, publishing infrastructure, and the technology that enables subject-matter experts to contribute original content through a rigorous editorial process.
The systems that enable nurses, veterans, teachers, business owners, and other subject-matter experts to contribute verified analysis alongside trained journalists.
Member-funded sustainability that keeps us accountable to citizens, not to advertisers, political donors, or corporate sponsors. Mission over profit.
We are transparent about our foundation: America’s Overwatch is built on the values of the constitutional republic — individual liberty, limited government, free expression, and the rule of law.
Our methodology, however, holds everyone equally accountable. When Republicans misrepresent data, we say so. When Democrats misrepresent data, we say so. When media on either side strips context to manufacture outrage, we call it out. The facts do not have a party, and neither does our process.
“Integrity means doing the right thing even when no one is watching — especially when the wrong choice would be easier or more profitable.”
As America’s Overwatch grows, we plan to establish a formal scholarship program where Founders Circle members can create named scholarships for aspiring contributors and student journalists. These scholarships will fund individuals through our contributor training program — learning the editorial process, content standards, and aviation-derived framework that governs everything we publish.
Details on the scholarship program—including scope, selection criteria, and recognition—will be developed in collaboration with our founding members.
Your annual commitment funds operations, but your status never expires. Once a founding member, always a founding member — full access to every membership tier and future feature, even if you eventually step away. You believed in us early. That earns a permanent seat at the table.
An exclusive in-person gathering with fellow founders and leadership to discuss the state of American journalism and the platform’s direction.
Twice yearly video briefings with the founder on organizational progress, impact metrics, and strategic direction.
Permanent recognition on this page and in our future physical headquarters as a founding supporter.
Complete copy of the AO Editorial Charter — the document that governs every piece of content we publish, including the Five Non-Negotiables and our aviation-derived verification framework.
Direct line to the founder for questions, feedback, and updates on organizational development.
Founders Circle members support our mission but do not influence editorial decisions. All fact-checking, coverage priorities, and journalistic standards remain under the sole authority of our editorial team. This independence is non-negotiable — it is the foundation of our credibility, and it applies equally to every contributor, member, and supporter regardless of their level of financial commitment.
All 25 positions are available. Help build something this country has never had — an open platform where real expertise meets aviation-level editorial standards, funded by citizens and accountable to no one else.
